Yesterday, as I was riding my bicycle home after heading to the store a man yelled at me from his silver ute.
Words of insult about my body. That I was too fat for the bike. That I was nothing more than a set of derogatory words that stung at my very heart.
I hadn’t felt that way for some time. Being publically shamed in peak hour traffic, while I crossed the road on a main highway. Body shaming me for the body I have been working hard at, for all of this year. A body I am proud to now show, to love and to call my own.
Remember you should never be ashamed of your body. It is yours and yours to love.
If someone tells you otherwise, don’t you listen to them.
You are the owner and lover of your body. You rock the hell out of it, whatever size you are and whatever journey you are on right now.
I’m a big fan of fashion. Fashion shows, magazines, actually seeing the pieces infront of my eyes….it sets me into a spin!
