“The moment you doubt whether you can fly, you cease for ever to be able to do it.”
― J.M. Barrie, Peter Pan

Of all the stories of my childhood, the one with such a vivid connection was the tale of Peter Pan.
It was wild to think that someone could fly, could share a new world. A world of fairies, pirates and mermaids.
The story of Peter Pan is classic and timeless, and when I first spotted this skirt from Pinup Couture, the beautiful illustrations lured me in.

Once again, the Jenny skirt cannot fail me and I simply find this print and colourway divine.
The novelty print is designed by pinup model and Pinup Couture designed Micheline Pitt.
What a beautiful face and designer! That woman has skills, and all of her work is beautiful.
This print is no exception: when I wear this skirt I cannot help but look at all of the print, and it certainly captures everyone’s attention.

The fit of the Neverland Jenny is very much the same as the Fan Print: it fits my 39-40 inch waist comfortably throughout the day and I find that with wear over the day it does tend to loosen slightly.
This doesn’t essentially worry me, but I do notice that it is lose at the end of the day. I’ve worn it here without a petticoat – for day wear when I am not at a show or doing a shoot, I tend to wear my Jenny skirts without any additional volume. Because of the beautiful pleated work, it still looks lovely and full without a petticoat.

I finished off this gorgeous skirt with a simply puff sleeve top from City Chic (worn here in a XS but I feel like it is far too roomy and I’ll have to find a store with a similar style in a smaller size!) and a pop of colour with orchids in my hair and a red swallow brooch. The gold sparkle heels were a bit of fun: I didn’t wear them all day but Jacob and I went out for dinner after these shots and I thought they worked super well with the cute little bug belt I bought from ASOS CURVE many years ago!

My daughter (3) adores Peter Pan. For a while there we could hear chants of ‘Ido, I do, I DO BELIEVE IN FARES’ coming from her room. She would be rather smitten with this skirt too I think :)
