New frames with Vision Direct

A few weeks ago I took the plunge to sign up for a Masters course. It was scary and I was worried I wouldn’t have enough time to work and study at the same time.
But signing up to the Masters of Education Course also put my head into perspective: I needed to ensure I was ready for study again and the first thing I did was get by eyes tested.
During my first university course I wore glasses when I was completing my assessments and while I should have been wearing them for all reading and study, I was lazy. Signing up to the Masters of Education Course meant I would be reading and reading ALOT – most of my content is online and I knew I needed to get my eyes in check and keep them healthy for reading.

It must have been a stroke of luck because the team at Vision Direct contacted me around the same time. It meant I could get some beautiful frames for my reading glasses that would have me feeling fabulous and fun while studying.

My first impression of the Vision Direct website was how easy it was to use on both my iPhone and on my computer. It was easy to find different frame styles, search by designer and even by frame shape. The website features drop down menus that allow for you to select easily, and I liked the big images and clean backgrounds. It took me no time at all to find the glasses of my dreams: cat-eye, big lenses for reading and better yet, studded and pretty! I immediatley fell in love with the Versace VE3191 for the beautiful shape of the frame, the detail and the selection of colours. Available in black, tortoise, red and magenta it was hard to choose but I stuck with classic black to let the stud detail stand out. My second choice would no doubt have been red because it is my favourite colour!

I had actually seen a beautiful rockabilly gal wearing these on Instagram a week or two earlier and I knew how expensive Versace was: I had seen these exact frames in an optometrist in the Sydney CBD and was quoted voer $700 for the exact same pair with lenses. While I was kindly gifted my selection of frames, it would have been an easy choice to go with Vision Direct as these exact frames are $225.00!

Postage was super fast with these Versace frames, and and they arrived within around 5 days. The website gives you an estimate of how long they take to arrive, and I was pleasantly surprised when they arrived. The glasses came wrapped and protected in a hard cardboard box, came with a complimentary glasses kit which included spray, wipe and a little screwdriver and the glasses themselves came in original Verscae packaging: authentic case, booklet of authenticity and hard travel case. I was smitten! I posted my unpacking on Instagram (@closconfessions) so check it out.

If you are in need of a new pair of frames, or even just a new pair of sunglasses, I highly recommend checking our Vision Direct. My experience was 100% pleasant and the customers service I recieved was fantastic. They answered all of my questions and made me feel reassured with the glasses I chose!

Dress: ASOS (old style)

Disclaimer: I was provided with a pair of glasses from the great selection at Vision Direct. I was not paid for my opinion and all thoughts are honest and my own. I pride myself on being honest with all reviews and sponsored posts.

Hello. I just discovered your wonderful blog. I really wish I could feel as secure with my size as you do. I think it is an awesome thing and you are truly beautiful. Thank you for the inspiration I need. I am having to put together a “Victorian/Frontier” wardrobe that would fit in to the late 1890’s to wear to western shooting competitions. I love this new hobby, am going to start hitting the gym to try and tone up my upper arms and to build up some stamina for all the walking. I find that there is some offerings for plus size ladies out there, however, manufacturers and pattern companies seem to automatically assume that plus size body equates to plus size chest. I was not blessed in that way. Again, thanks for being out there. Like I said, you are a beautiful woman.

They look fabulous on you :) I found your photo because I’m interested in buying those frames myself, probably in Havana. I have just one doubt, what’s the quality of the studs? I read a review that they come off easily, that would be a shame :(
    Have a nice day :)
