Closet Confessions turns 2

I wasn’t sure how I was going to celebrate my blog’s birthday, but then I figured that showing one of my first outfits would probably be a good start. I didn’t want to do a massive giveaway or anything like that. I wanted to keep it low key and about the reason I started this blog: my confidence and style.

I’ve just spent about 30 minutes looking through and cringing at the things I wore when I was barely 20. Outfits I would never put on and leave the house in now where a staple to me. At one stage, I had to look away because the fact is, when I started Closet Confessions I loved fashion but I didn’t have access to it.

Looking back now, I’ve grown so far in terms of harnessing my own personal style. I always had an idea of what I wanted but as a plus size woman, it was always out of reach or, out of budget. I feel as if my personal style has grown and evolved over the past 2 years to something that makes me feel confident and beautiful. Sure, I wear and buy some crazy things, but that’s my style! I’m a crazy, often weird fashion lover.

So thank you for reading my blog and taking me under your wing with your supportive comments and emails. Without your support and love, I would have never felt comfortable enough to step forward and share my story with A Current Affair, with Cleo Magazine…and most importantly, I wouldn’t feel confident to share my life with you here on Closet Confessions.
