To say I am scared is not an understatement. To change something that has gone well for 4 years is a scary thing. I will change my hair without a heartbeat, or the colour of my lipstick without a bat of an eyelash. But the changes I have planned for Closet Confessions, while they aren’t
Christmas Day for me was beautiful.
The rain dropped from the sky and we sat inside, huddled up with family giving gifts and sharing stories.
It was the perfect time to overdress and wear one of my latest dress purchases, the Hellbunny Nell dress.
When I first saw this dress online, I passed it off. But as the weeks went by, I looked back at it and finally caved in to buy it.
I am so glad I did, because not only is the colour beautiful, the cut is ever so flattering and I felt beautiful when wearing it.
Christmas Eve in Jacob’s family is a big deal and I love that I have become part of his beautiful family.
This Christmas was my second with Jacob and it was lovely to feel so comfortable in the home of his wonderful aunt, uncle and cousins and feel part of the family (instead of being a nervous wreck!).
The backyard, casual meal didn’t mean I couldn’t add a bit of sparkle, so I went all out with this vintage jacket.
It’s been hanging in my closet since the beginning of 2013 when I grabbed it at my local Vinnies for $3.00.
Christmas Eve felt like the perfect time to take it for it’s first outing.
A well overdue Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays and Happy New Year to you all!
I am ever so sorry for the delay in posting for the holiday season, but my days have been taken up with family, friends, gift giving and finally, a few days up the coast of New South Wales with Jacob and his family.
It was a rest that was well received and after returning home today I am only now just uploading SD card and flicking through all of the wonderful outfits the holiday season allowed me to wear! This dress was worn over Christmas Eve for lunch with Jacob, his mother and brother (along with a little light shopping for last minute odds-and-ends).
