Recently, I was flicking through a pile of paperwork on my desk when out popped a vivacious and curvy redhead. She was donned in a glorious striped one piece that had me itching to pin curl my hair and slap on my red lippie because it was all kinds of vintage beautiful.
With quick fingers I flicked onto the Internet to check out Beyond the Sea: an Australian brand (designed & made) with a focus of vintage inspired pieces that support. I met up with the brands owner and designer Kylie van Wanrooy and got to know more about this brand of swimsuits for ladies sizes 12-20.
I’ve recently been doing lots of thrifting over the weekends, and I like to keep my outfit comfortable and carefree.
I love flicking through the racks and finding amazing pieces. I’ve come across some beautiful 1950s cardigans and even a 70s Versace knit that I plan to admire (and sell later on eBay!) because I will never be a size 6.
Recently my look has been changing. Getting into the rockabilly look, I’ve been encorporating new pieces into my wardrobe, such as this gorgeous Torrid strapless dress that I actually bought on a Facebook buy/swap/sell page.
It just goes to show that you can always get a bargain if you take the time to look for one!
I’m not new to dressing for comfort and this outfit is a pretty standard uniform for me. I love dressing down and keeping my look casual; as a university student that often over dresses (I’m never one to wear track suit pants and ripped shirts like other students!). Leggings and tunics are great for those in-between days especially for me, on Monday mornings. With a 6:00am wakeup and 9:00am lectures I have been loving simple looks such as these Harlow leggings and this 17 Sundays tunic for easy, effortless style.
I have been an incredibly slack blogger and bad friend to the Aussie Curves community. I’ve looked on and loved everyone’s posts each week, but just haven’t got myself ready enough to shoot looks and share them!
This week I wanted to get in on the action and have snuck in at the last minute with this look that I simply ADORE. And what’s the best part? It’s under $50!
