We are told to love and nurture our body and yet everyday, we flip open a magazine or turn on the television and we are flooded with bodies that are made to be superior.
Slim models, perfect tans, white teeth and gorgeous hair fill my Instagram feeds. They flood my Pinterest boards. They continue post after post after FaceBook post.
Not when you are 5kg lighter.
Not when you get a faux tan.
Not when you get out of your trackies and into a frock.
Not when you straighten your hair.
Not when you wear lippie.
Not when you take a selfie.
And especially when you’re having a “good” day.
There is a new app called BeauCoo that allows us to all celebrate the body we are in right now. I’ve been using BeauCoo for a few weeks to test it out, and to put it simply, I am in love. Somehow, I think you will love it too….
If you follow my blog, follow me on social media or just stalk me in general (I’m serious, don’t do it. It’s creepy!) you will notice I have lost weight.
It isn’t something I want to brag about and I am certainly not changing the way I write about fashion. You will never log onto Closet Confessions and see me promoting a weight loss drug or some kind of procedure and I don’t plan on spilling my heart out about everything I put into my mouth.
But I will say I have been working hard, eating well and getting active.
Earlier this year the team at TS14+ sent me some active wear and I wanted to road test it. By “roadtest” I mean I wanted to REALLY use it, instead of take it out for a jog and then blog it. Instead, I have been using this set up for over 6 months to ensure I give you the best review I can possibly give!
This dress gives of romantic, love vibes that send me over the edge. When I saw it online at City Chic, I knew it had to be mine. There were a few other items that I had my eye on, but this one caught my attention. It had a 1950s silohutte and a bold print

I am a proud Australian.
I don’t have a flag in my front yard and I certainly don’t have the Southern Cross tattooed on my body, but I do get very emotional and proud when I hear a fellow Australian is starting a brand.
I love supporting Australian brands and more importantly, Australian production. I know how expensive it can be but I want to support and nurture the brains behind these brands.
When I heard about a new label starting called TopChick, I got excited. An exclusive, Australian designed and made label for sizes 18-26 I put it in my diary straight away. I took a long drive to the fashion show launch where a huge crowd of family and friends came to celebrate Vicki and her designs.
Click through to see more of the beautiful clothes and to hear about the brand, as I caught up with Vicki to talk about TopChick and what it means for Australian plus size women.
