Since the beginning of the year I have been working at plus size store City Chic, an Australian store that caters to sizes 14-22. At first I didn’t want to let everyone know this because there can be lines of opinions that are crossed when one writes and also works, and so I have not written about the clothing I wear at work every day. But when this dress came into work I knew I had to share it. Every inch of it is perfectly me: the fit, the colour, the print and the details are dreamy and I have been loving it so much so that I wanted to share it with you all.
I am wearing the Miss Sweet Dress in a size XS and find the fit to be firm and smooth with the stretch back panel.
It fits my waist and flares over my tummy and the pockets are the perfect place to stash your goodies on a busy day. I know it is going to be a firm favourite of mine and I adore it!
I have fallen in love with this dress. Is it even possible to feel so attached to a piece of cloth?
This is my second Evelyn and the cut is different to my first. The bust fits smooth, the print is so crisp and fresh.
But what makes this dress so special was that it was the frock I wore on my Graduation (which I posted about recently here).
I’ve been playing around with different colours and I love the pop of red with the glorious g0ld print of the dress.
The blog has been quiet, but this was not my intention: My life this year has been a whirlwind I am not lying when I say it has been & still is a struggle.
I’m the type of person who need set things, I need to know what I am doing and where my life is heading and sometimes I can’t do that. It’s hard but I like that I can tick things off.
This week I graduated after 4 years of hard work. It was an effort, let me tell you. But putting on that cap, and pulling on that gown and hood made me realise that the hard work and sacrifices I have made are worth it.
My graduation was a celebration of hard work and sheer perserverance and I can only thank those around me who have supported me since day one for my success.
To my loving family, my beautiful grandmother Elaine and both of my parents Sue and Kel. To my loving husband-t0-be, Jacob. Without their assistance, I would not have graduated. I am so lucky to have had them by my side on this journey.
I am officially a Visual Arts teacher, with the paper to prove it! Let’s see where my next journey will take me!
