I love simple, layering and easy warmth that comes with adding knits to your wardrobe. With the cooler weather on our door steps here in Australia, I am looking forward to pulling out my cardigans and layering over my existing wardrobe. Loosing weight also means I am on the hunt for jumpers that actually fit
I am a big fan of shopping local. I love supporting my community but even more than that, supporting Australian brands! Wy would you always shop online and overseas when some of our Aussie plus size labels are bringing the good this summer!!?
I think it’s important to remember that while the prices may be high, sometimes it is certainly nicer to try pieces in the comfort of your home after only having to wait 2 days for them to arrive from an Australian brand! I am aiming to spend my money in Australia rather than overseas where I can because small business and lots of brands do it tough…let’s help them out this Christmas!
I am sure there are many more brands out there that I haven’t shown here, and if I have missed yours or a friends brand, small business or even a big retailer you think has some nice dresses, send me an email and I will add some more!
Please note: All of the brands I have shown allow you to purchase on their website or somewhere on the internet.
I haven’t shown anything you cannot buy, somehow, on the big wide internet! For this reason I cannot show Best & Less and other retailers who do not allow for you to shop online. I apologize if this is an issue for anyone!
Until yesterday, I had never been to the races.
With an upcoming birthday, I decided to spoil myself with a new dress and go out with the Aussie Curves ladies to celebrate racing fashion at the Hawkesbury Races Ladies Day.
Last week I was invited to an event in the city that was all about celebrating plus-size curves. It was an odd feeling, because most of the events or Press Releases I receive are for standard sized clothing labels. So, when Target contacted me I jumped at the chance and took myself into The Establishment in Sydney.
If you follow my blog, follow me on social media or just stalk me in general (I’m serious, don’t do it. It’s creepy!) you will notice I have lost weight.
It isn’t something I want to brag about and I am certainly not changing the way I write about fashion. You will never log onto Closet Confessions and see me promoting a weight loss drug or some kind of procedure and I don’t plan on spilling my heart out about everything I put into my mouth.
But I will say I have been working hard, eating well and getting active.
Earlier this year the team at TS14+ sent me some active wear and I wanted to road test it. By “roadtest” I mean I wanted to REALLY use it, instead of take it out for a jog and then blog it. Instead, I have been using this set up for over 6 months to ensure I give you the best review I can possibly give!
