If there is one thing I love about my current wardrobe is that it is full of fun colours and prints. I have always loved bright colours, so when I first laid my eyes on the Connie dress from Voodoo Vixen, I knew that the novelty print would be the perfect addition to my wardrobe. Not only is the print gorgeous but the fit and fabric make this style beautiful to wear.
One of my favourite features of the Connie Dress is the neckline – I am not normally someone who likes to have a higher neckline, but the criss-cross front is a feature I really like on this style. It meant not having to wear a necklace and leaving the focus on the print!
The dress comes with a matching belt but I decided to add a pop of gloss with my patent bow belt, available from my store. I love these belts as they really bring an outfit together!
This is the first of a series of posts for Voodoo Vixen – I love this brand and I am so excited to share it with you all!
There’s no denying that I have been a slack writer, and I have been terrible at sharing my life for the past few months/year.
But there is something I need to share with you, and it’s about denim.
A few months ago Australian retailer Autograph contacted me about reviewing their new range of denim. At the time, I was extremely excited as I was due for some new jeans but I’ve always struggled to find a good pair to fit. I jumped at the chance and when the deadline to post came, I decided to not just give you a “post” but I decided to give them a real, true review.
Lately, I have become obsessed with perfume. I am not normally someone who needs to change my scent: I usually grab a bottle of something cute and girly and under $40 at my local chemist to have in my bag for at work. Throughout the years I’ve always been a fan of the celebrity fragrances
We are told to love and nurture our body and yet everyday, we flip open a magazine or turn on the television and we are flooded with bodies that are made to be superior.
Slim models, perfect tans, white teeth and gorgeous hair fill my Instagram feeds. They flood my Pinterest boards. They continue post after post after FaceBook post.
Not when you are 5kg lighter.
Not when you get a faux tan.
Not when you get out of your trackies and into a frock.
Not when you straighten your hair.
Not when you wear lippie.
Not when you take a selfie.
And especially when you’re having a “good” day.
There is a new app called BeauCoo that allows us to all celebrate the body we are in right now. I’ve been using BeauCoo for a few weeks to test it out, and to put it simply, I am in love. Somehow, I think you will love it too….
Black & white.
My comfort zone…yet this skirt pushes me out of my everyday and into something beyond.
This is the final beautiful bandana piece that was sent to me by the ever-so-amazing Craig from Ruff n Ready.
I cannot recommend Craig enough for his excellent customer service, wonderful low prices and great range.
It is so nice to be able to buy from an Australian retailer, rather than having to reach out to the International sellers. I love that Craig features both standard and plus size pieces from Hell Bunny and with new stock coming in all the time, it’s perfect for girls like me who always need something “new”.
I wanted to style this look a bit cute, a bit sassy and a bit fun. The Bandana Skirt is so easy to style, so I played around with a new top and a pair of old faithful heels that have served me well for almost 8 years.
